BREAKING NEWS: Matt Judge Resigns from his role at Manchester United

It has just been confirmed that Matt Judge has resigned from his position as Manchester United’s director of football negotiations. Widely regarded as Ed Woodward's right hand man, this comes nearly 2 months after the latter has left the club shortly after the club withdrew from a proposed European Super League.

Judge was responsible for negotiating transfers and contract renewals. He had been involved in United’s transfer business since the summer of 2014 and was one of the most influential figures at the Club.

He was, reportedly, considering his position in recent weeks amid a series of structural changes at Old Trafford.

According to highly reliable football journalist David Ornstein, the departure was amicable between both parties and he is not expected to play an active role in this summer transfer window.
