MANCHESTER UNITED'S NEXT CENTER-FORWARD

Manchester United have reportedly pulled themselves out of the race to sign Darwin Nunez, as Liverpool agreed on personal terms with the player and are in talks with Benfica to agree on a fee.

The Red Devils had been firmly in the race to sign the Uruguayan hitman and had been in talks with his agent for around 4-5 weeks but all changed in the last days when Liverpool agreed on personal terms with the player and made a bid of around 80 million fixed with 20 million in bonuses amid reports that Nunez prioritises Champions League Football. A lot of United fans have stated their opinions that the player's valuation is too high and that the Club were right to walk away from the deal to avoid a bidding war with Liverpool.

Let's take a look to see the players that Manchester United could buy to take over from Cristiano Ronaldo as the team's first-choice Center-Forward:

Alexander Isak:

Alexander Isak has proven to be a top striker, at domestic and international level, with 17 goals in 34 appearances in the 2020/2021 season in La Liga. The Swedish hitman has burst onto the scene in recent years with some stunning performances for the La Liga club. At 22-years-old, he is also an option who is just as much of a long-term option as he is for the present, which is perfect for what United need as he can be an understudy to Ronaldo but also take his place when he needs a rest. Isak has a market value of 30 million but is also believed to have a release clause of around 86m, but with 4 years left on his contract, his price will be in the region of

50-60 million.

Jonathan David:

The Canadian is one of Europe's hottest young forwards and after having two fantastic seasons in France, is now looking at opportunities to move to a bigger club this summer.

David won the Top Goalscorer award with 13 goals last year, leading Lille's front line as they won Ligue 1, beating PSG to the title.

The 22-year-old has a 45 million valuation after scoring 15 goals this year in the French league and 3 goals in 8 appearances in the Champion League.

David's agent has already confirmed that he will seek to leave Lille this summer and could also be available for a cheap fee with Lille currently looking to raise money because of financial difficulties.

Richarlison:

Richarlison is one option as his work rate and quality will likely appeal to Erik ten Hag.

Ever since moving to Goodison Park in 2018, the 25-year-old has been the face of most of their goals scored and has become a fan favourite at Merseyside.

The Brazilian has 15 Goal contributions in 30 appearances in the Premier League this season and a total of 66 Goal contributions in 152 appearances for Everton.

Richarlison has been discussed internally according to very reliable sources.
