MANCHESTER UNITED VS LIVERPOOL: PRE-SEASON MATCH PREVIEW

Manchester United are set to face Liverpool in a pre-season friendly match in Bangkok, Thailand, tomorrow 12/07 at 14:00 England time.

Manchester United are working hard with new manager Erik ten Hag to be ready for their Premier League opener against Brighton & Hove Albion on August 7, while Liverpool are preparing for their fixture against Manchester City in the Community Shield on July 31st.

 

The Dutch coach will manage United for the first time tomorrow, and it just happens that his first-ever game will be against their biggest rivals, Liverpool. With a 31-man squad, Erik has more than enough options and will surely give enough game time to all players in order to assess them and also ensure maximum fitness for the beginning of the 2022/2023 season.


The matchday squad looks like this:


Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Tom Heaton, Nathan Bishop and Matej Kovar.


Defenders: Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, Ethan Laird, Victor Lindelöf, Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Alex Telles, Axel Tuanzebe, Raphael Varane and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.


Midfielders: Amad Diallo, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, James Garner, Hannibal Mejbri, Zidane Iqbal, Scott McTominay, Facundo Pellistri, Charlie Savage and Donny van de Beek.


Forwards: Tahith Chong, Anthony Elanga, Alejandro Garnacho, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.


Notable absentee: Cristiano Ronaldo (Due to personal family issues)
