Firstly reported by Mirror journalist Simon Mullock (@MullockSMirror) and letter confirmed by highly reliable dutch outlet 1908.NL, Manchester United may be looking to acquire the services of 22 year old, highly rated Feyenoord youngster ,Tyrell Malacia, following the appointment of dutchman Erik ten Hag as first team head coach.
Ten Hag has been known for grooming young talents into world class players, such as Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong and Ryan Gravenberch, and it seems he may combine high potential young player signings with high profile ones going forward with United.
Malacia is one of the prime targets for Ten Hag this summer as he looks to provide strong competition to Luke Shaw for the left-back spot. It is well known that Ten Hag previously wanted to bring the player to Ajax. The Netherlands international could be prised away for £20 million amid Feyenoord’s financial issues.
Manchester United may face competition for the player though with many clubs across Europe looking at him like Olympique Lyon and West Ham. It remains to be seen if United will complete the signing in the following months.
