Tottenham vs Manchester United Review
As the game gets going you always felt Man United were the better team, in the first 5 minutes and we're going to get the first goal and that happened as United went on the attack with Rashford holding the ball up and passed it out wide to Sancho and this was the Sancho at Dortmund as he was direct and took on the defender and put the ball in far corner where Fraser Forster couldn't get anywhere near the ball.
This continued throughout the half as Fernandes plays a 40-50 yard pass to Rashford on the counter and when it's Rashford vs Dier there's only 1 winner there, and it was shown as Rashford put the ball in the back of the net. You thought surely Man United would go back to Manchester with the 3 points and top 4 all but secured however there was a twist.
As the 2nd half started you really felt Ryan Mason team talk worked as it was like Manchester United and spurs swapped starting 11, as they was penning Manchester United back and spurs were dominating us for most of the half and it cost us dearly so much so that we lost 2 points because of Ten Hag substitutions and lack of squad depth thanks to the glazers lack of funding in the January window.
Manchester United Player Ratings
De Gea - (6) made some decent saves but his poor distribution again played a part in Tottenhams 2nd goal.
Aaron Wan Bissaka - (5) Richarlison had his number and thanks to it he got a yellow card which is rare of his nature.
Shaw - (7.5) best player on the pitch was comfortable on and off the ball.
Lindelof - (6) had a steady game but we cannot concede 2 goals after the spurs fans booed off their team.
Dalot - (5.5) was poor in the 1st half better in the 2nd half.
Casemiro - (5) dropped off for a few months and you could see that in the 2nd half.
Eriksen - (6.5) was very good in midfield think you can see he doesn't have a full game in him yet and again shows a lack of squad depth.
Bruno - (6.5) was very good until he told to go on the right wing another tactic that didn't work tonight.
Rashford - (6) didn't do much apart from the goal and assist.
Sancho - (6.5) was very good provider attacking threat all the time suprised why he got taken off.
Antony - (5) didn't offer much and as a winger that is poor very disappointing considering his recent performances.
Martial - (5) didn't offer much up front and I thought he gave the ball away many times which put United under extensive pressure.
Fred - (3) his performance was a disaster he was running like a headless chicken and every pass it felt like we gave away possession.
Malacia - (3) was out of possession for the 2nd goal fatigue seems to be an issue for Manchester United recently.
Ten Hag - (3) this was his worst managerial performance in my opinion in his Man United tenure as he got the substitutes all wrong the wrong timing as well.
