Who is Malcolm Ebiowei? Highly rated youngster might make the switch to Manutd

Ebiowei is a versatile attacking player. He used to play as an attacking midfielder as a kid, but he's also shown himself as a striker. However, he has spent the majority of his senior career on the right flank as an aggressive winger.

Given his left-footedness, it's no surprise that, Ebiowei prefers to cut in on his preferred side when he's on the ball. Part of the club's interest could be explained by the fact that Amad Diallo is the only left-footed senior attacker on the books at Old Trafford.

Ebiowei is a technically adept player who possesses excellent dribbling skills as well as a high level of close control. In 2021-22, no other Championship player completed more dribbles per 90 minutes than Ebiowei (4.5).

The youngster has also shown a preference for set-pieces, with his left foot providing an alternative to free kicks. He showed incredible goal-scoring skills from dead-ball situations when he was younger.

He started taking indirect free kicks for Derby towards the conclusion of the season, and he even assisted from one against Blackpool.

Although he has a lot of potential, he’s one for the future but under Ten Hag’s guidance he could become a starter sooner rather than later. It’ll be intriguing to see whether he makes the move to Old Trafford.
